Dog licensing going on in Orange

ORANGE — Dog licensing for 2025 has begun at the Town Clerk’s Office. Licensing will take place until March 31.

Starting April 1, there will be a $50 late fee per unlicensed dog. State law requires all dogs to be licensed if they are 6 months old or older.

Proof of rabies is required to license. Dog owners must bring in proof of an up-to-date rabies vaccination. Pricing is $20 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs, and $10 with proof of spay or neuter.

If your dog is on file with the town and their rabies vaccination is up to date in the system, you can license the canine at tinyurl.com/OrangeDogs. You can mail a payment with proof of rabies vaccination and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Town Clerk’s Office at 6 Prospect St., Orange MA 01364, and the town will mail the license and tag back to you. The office accepts cash, check or card, though a card payment may have a fee charged by the bank.
