Monday, Nov. 25

7:27 p.m. — Caller reports an illegal burn in the alleyway between Fourth and Fifth streets. Officer drove through the alleyway and found a fire contained in a fire pit off of Fourth Street. Exact location was provided. Turners Falls Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

7:09 p.m. — Reporting party states he was driving down South Lyman Street and a kid threw a rock at his car, damaging it. He stopped and the parents are now arguing with him, telling him to get off their property. Officer advised and responding. Situation mediated at this time.

11:34 p.m — Department of Public Works requested to sand roads for icy conditions.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

2:35 p.m. — Owner of property on J Street reports a former tenant is trying to take things from the shed. Male party no longer in the area upon officer’s arrival.

3:58 p.m. — Caller on East Taylor Hill Road states people have been taking her candy cane decorations, moving them around and breaking them. States today the person took them, broke them and hung them on her mailbox.

11:28 p.m. — Caller on Greenfield Road states he and his girlfriend were in a single-vehicle crash. No smoke, fluids or fire from vehicle. He reports that while he was driving, he and his girlfriend got into a verbal altercation that turned physical when she punched him in the face, causing him to drive off the road. Female is now walking toward her home in Greenfield. Officers advised. Nichole J. Follett, 40, of Hope Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery (domestic, intimate partner).

Friday, Nov. 29

5:26 a.m. — Caller on Randall Road states a vehicle struck their parked vehicle in the driveway. Caller states the owner of the truck was not inside the vehicle at the time; rather, the truck popped out of park and into drive, then rolled into the other parked vehicle. No smoke, fire or fluids reported. Officer advises minimal damage. Services rendered.

5:36 a.m. — Caller from Avenue A states there is loud music in the room below her, requests it be turned down. Officer advises slight sound of music located near the back of the building, not deemed to be a nuisance.

Saturday, Nov. 30

1:56 a.m. — Officer advising he found evidence of someone sleeping in the vestibule of Greenfield Savings Bank on Avenue A. Nobody inside location at this time.

2:14 a.m. — Officer advises he and another officer will be checking the woodline across from Greenfield Savings Bank, as a tent has been discovered. Nobody in the area, tent is clear at this time.

10:43 a.m. — Caller states someone smashed the passenger window of her vehicle overnight and stole her wallet. Vehicle was parked on L Street. Report taken.

3:56 p.m. — Employee from Walgreens on Avenue A reports a white male wearing a black and white coat and a black hat is asking people if they want to buy marijuana. Chad R. James, 45, of Newton Street in Millers Falls, was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, Dec. 1

8:08 a.m. — Reporting party from Central Street reports there is a sick raccoon on her porch. She slammed the door and told it to go away but it didn’t listen to her. She called her nephew, who is a state trooper, and he told her to call the Police Department. Officers advised. Raccoon moved along.
