Montague Police Logs: Nov. 18 to Nov. 24, 2024

Monday, Nov. 18

7:07 p.m. — Reporting party states she observed two juveniles throwing rocks at vehicles and business signs in the area of East Main Street. She advised the juveniles to stop and they did not. Officer was unable to locate the juveniles, found no property damage.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

8:14 a.m. — Walk-in to the station requesting to speak to an officer. States she has been working with LifePath to manage financial aspects of her business and they noticed larceny. They contacted the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and were told to make a police report. Officer advised.

6:34 p.m. — Caller near Carroll’s Market on East Main Street reports his white GMC Sierra was struck by another vehicle. Caller did not have a description of the other involved vehicle. Officer made contact with the reporting party and business owner. Security cameras are not operational.

7:00 p.m. — Reporting party states her boyfriend took her phone and will not give it back. Employee from Scottys reports there has been yelling and screaming for the past hour. Officer advising the situation has been mediated and both parties were separated. Neighbors advised the female party appears to be the primary aggressor.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

7:47 a.m. — Multiple 911 calls reporting a crash involving multiple vehicles on Montague City Road. Appears all parties are out of the vehicles. Report taken.

Thursday, Nov. 21

9:20 a.m. — Caller on Griswold Street reports two windows in her car were smashed out overnight. Report taken.

3:46 p.m. — Reporting party on East Main Street states he is receiving phone calls requesting him to pay $168 for an ambulance ride that occurred approximately two years ago. Reporting party requesting to speak to an officer in reference to the incident. Caller was advised of his options.

5:04 p.m. — Reporting party states there are three vehicles in the parking lot of Hillcrest Elementary School on Griswold Street that are not associated with the school. Caller advising two of the three vehicles are occupied and an employee is not comfortable walking to her vehicle. Officer advising the parties in each vehicle were just talking to each other. Nothing suspicious in nature.

3:48 p.m. — Reporting party on L Street states there is a male party in the area with a rifle and scope. Found to be a pellet gun.

8:35 p.m. — Caller reports someone is having a fire in the area of Fifth Street and Avenue A. Exact location is unknown, however he is able to see flames. Officer advising it is an unpermitted outdoor fire. Referred to the Turners Falls Fire Department.

Saturday, Nov. 23

9:14 a.m. — Caller states that while sitting in traffic at L and Third streets, the car in front of him suddenly backed up and struck his front bumper. Minor damage. Reporting party does not want to pursue any insurance claims. Damage to rear bumper of the other involved vehicle, a Toyota Corolla. Citation issued.

Sunday, Nov. 24

10:23 a.m. — Caller reports a tenant who was evicted is on the property on J Street, breaking and entering into a shed, and needs to be removed. Officer advised. Unable to locate.
