Linda J. Donaldson: Mike Pence, Liz Cheney are ‘truth-loving patriots’

“It is up to us, in our time, to choose wisely between the hard but necessary task of preserving peace and freedom and the temptation to ignore our duty and blindly hope for the best while the enemies of freedom grow stronger day by day.”

Let it be said, instead, that we did our duty. We stood for truth.

It breaks my heart that our choice this year is between a megalomaniac and a sweet man who has already served this country for so long that his compromises have weakened his support.

Although I’ve always voted for liberal candidates, this election, I plan to vote for Mike Pence and Liz Cheney because they are truth-loving patriots who have proven that country comes before politics.

I may be whistling into the wind. I understand that write-in candidates rarely win. Our world needs a miracle; a groundswell that will preserve self-government.
