Greenfield Recreation Department Notebook: March 7, 2025

Buddy Basketball: This new program on Mondays from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. through April 7 incorporates adaptive techniques into basketball to create an inclusive experience for players of all abilities. Modifications will be made for dribbling, shooting or passing, thus opening doors for participation and skill development and empowering everyone to play the game. The program, open to anyone ages 6 and up, will be held at the Discovery School at Four Corners. Visit magreenfieldweb.myvscloud.com/webtrac/web to register.

Rec Room: The Rec Room, a drop-in after-school program for all Greenfield Middle School students, offers a variety of activities that include a game room, academic support and choices of enrichment activities. The Rec Room breaks the school year into three seasons, and the third season starts on March 17.

D’Angelo Fundraiser: On March 21, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., customers can stop by D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches. By mentioning the Recreation Department’s fundraiser when ordering, the department will earn 20% of all qualifying sales placed that day. Customers ordering online can enter code: 19 at the payment screen and then click activate.

Camp Registration: Registration for summer camp will open on April 1.

Indoor Mini Golf: The Recreation Department is planning an Indoor Mini Golf Fireworks Fundraiser at 20 Sanderson St. on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5. There will be 18 uniquely designed holes to play. $5 admission per person. If you are interested in sponsoring a hole, contact the Recreation Department at 413-772-1553.

Summer Employment: The Recreation Department will be hiring lifeguards, camp counselors, gate attendants and concessions workers for the summer. Visit greenfieldrecreation.com for more information.
