Monday, July 8

4:21 p.m. — Caller reports a silver SUV is always parked in front of an address on Turners Falls Road, causing a traffic hazard. Officer reports the car owner advised that the vehicle is purposely parked there to prevent other vehicles from speeding. There is an 8-year-old girl in the neighborhood and they are worried about her safety. There are no signs stating the vehicle cannot park there. Officer advises police will patrol the area more frequently.

5:38 p.m. — Caller reports there is a motorized scooter on the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge and he didn’t see anyone around. Officer transported the scooter back to the station. A male called in stating he just bought the scooter off another male, and someone took if off his lawn and was using it. When the police were on the bridge, the person who had been using the scooter was underneath the bridge and called the owner to let him know police had taken it. Property was returned.

Tuesday, July 9

3:03 p.m. — Caller from Avenue A reports that a male party known as “Jose” ripped down one of their signs and threw it in the woods. Reporting party wanted the incident on record for now, will call back if needed. Report taken.

7:55 p.m. — Officer on Fifth Street is out with a vehicle that was damaged due to a kid throwing asphalt. Windshield was smashed, hood damaged as well. Vehicle operator to call in to provide information.

Wednesday, July 10

10:42 a.m. — Walk-in to the station looking to report a suspicious person and vandalism caught on video on Avenue A. Advised of options.

10:57 a.m. — Walk-in to the station reporting her bank account was hacked for $23,000. She is corresponding with her bank and needs the incident on record with the police. Referred to an officer.

3:34 p.m. — Reporting party from Randall Wood Drive states there is a dirt bike with no plates on it that rides up and down the road a couple times a day very fast and she finds this very annoying. Sometimes it’s following a Toyota Supra. She does not know where the person on the dirt bike lives but she would like something done. Caller reports she has called about this multiple times before and officers drive out but don’t find anything. Officer spoke with the dirt bike operator, advised them of the complaint. Dirt bike found to be legally registered.

Thursday, July 11

3:56 p.m. — Caller reports there are lots of people swimming in the reservoir in Lake Pleasant. Officers checked the area, including walking trails. Vehicles were parked on Adams Street. Swimmers were spoken to and are exiting the water. They were advised of other areas they can swim, including East Mineral Road.

8:00 p.m. — Caller on Second Street reports that three youths threw her plants outside her residence and then ran off. Last seen on Avenue A heading in the direction of Food City. Plants were thrown on the ground, on a neighbor’s vehicle and in the road. Officer out with youths at Skinner Park. Victim is only seeking a small amount for restitution.

Friday, July 12

12:17 a.m. — Caller reports people are sleeping in Suzee’s Third St. Laundry. Officers advised. Nobody inside the building. Building has been secured.

10:48 p.m. — Caller from High Street reports hearing motorcycles go up and down Millers Falls Road. Officer advises he heard noise from the involved motorcycles and is currently sitting by the station as a deterrent.

Saturday, July 13

2:40 a.m. — Officer checking on a vehicle at Lake Pleasant Road and Federal Street. Daniel Carson, 56, of Lyman Road in Northfield, was arrested on a charge of OUI-liquor over .08%

6:22 p.m. — Officer spoke to five individuals who were advised they were trespassing by swimming in the Lake Pleasant reservoir. They were given names of other places they can go to swim.

7:49 p.m. — Caller reports hearing an explosion in the area of G Street. Officer on detail advising people also came up to him and stated the same. Possibly seeing smoke. Area checked up to Cumberland Farms. Nothing found.

9:29 p.m. — Caller on Randall Road reports hearing continuous gunfire from multiple directions. Officers advised. Nothing found.

Sunday, July 14

3:30 p.m. — Caller from 11th Street states a male is taking items from his storage unit and putting them on different people’s lawns with free signs on them. Today he has put out a dismantled bicycle, golf clubs and an old chair. Officer advising the golf clubs and dismantled bike are up with a sign but nothing is in people’s yards.
