Monthly Psychic Fair returns June 29

LAKE PLEASANT — The National Spiritual Alliance will host its monthly Psychic Fair from 11 a..m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, at Thompson Temple, 2 Montague Ave.

The fair will have 30-minute readings from three practicing spiritualists. Each session is $25, and registration is required. To register or for more information, visit spiritualallianceusa.org/calendar.

Church welcomes community to pancake breakfast

TURNERS FALLS — The First Congregational Church of Montague will host a pancake breakfast on Saturday, June 29, from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m.

Breakfast will include homemade pancakes, assorted fruit, sausage and real maple syrup. Coffee, tea and assorted juices will also be served. No reservation is required and the price is $10.

Stoneman Brewery celebrating collaboration with The Rendezvous, Good Food Award

TURNERS FALLS — Colrain’s Stoneman Brewery is celebrating its award-winning Vert Frisson Saison, as well as the launch of the VOO Valley Pale Ale in collaboration with The Rendezvous, on Sunday, June 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the 78 Third St. restaurant.

The brewery received a 2024 Good Food Award for its Vert Frisson Saison draft beer that is only brewed once a year, and will be available for the June 30 party. A small batch of Vert Frisson Saison will also be available for purchase at Stoneman Brewery, 20 Stetson Brothers Road in Colrain, on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7.

Sunday’s event will also celebrate the formal launch of the VOO Valley Pale Ale on draft as part of Stoneman Brewery’s collaboration with The Rendezvous. This beer, the Vert Frisson Saison, Tractor Ryed IPA and Monk Light Belgian blond ale will be served at the restaurant. Stoneman Brewery is owned and operated by Justin Korby, who will be at the event for a meet-and-greet.

Sunday’s event is free to attend, though Stoneman Brewery is accepting donations via a crowd-sourcing campaign at patronicity.com/HelpStoneman.

TURNERS FALLS — The Unfortunate Ooze Fest will return for a third year to Peskeomskut Park on Saturday, July 6, from noon to 7 p.m.

The free event will feature performances from Cycles Inside, Scald Hymn, Arkm Foam, Dan Gay, Marie Carroll, Noise Nomads, Belltone Suicide, Slippery Dixon (Jeff Unfortunately), Jen Gelineau, Moons of Goom, Mibble, Federico Balducci, Josiah Noomrude, HardCar and Trance Macabre. Band merchandise will be available for purchase. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and food to the event to see a variety of independent musicians and genres. The rain date is Sunday, July 7, from noon to 7 p.m.

The event is hosted by Joshua Burkett of Mystery Train Records, and sponsored by RiverCulture, the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Greenfield Cooperative Bank. An event listing is available on Facebook at tinyurl.com/TurnersFallsOozeFest.

Handmade jewelry and crocheted pieces on display

TURNERS FALLS — Local crafter Kathy Pezzuto has handmade jewelry and crocheted items on display in the lobby of the Greenfield Savings Bank branch at 282 Avenue A.

Pezzuto has been making jewelry since 1992, working with glass beads and cable wire. She recently expanded her creative collection with crocheted items.

Pezzuto’s work will be available for purchase during the normal lobby hours of 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
