TURNERS FALLS — Greenfield Savings Bank at 282 Avenue A will host a reiki demonstration on Saturday, June 15, from 1 to 2 p.m.
The demonstration will be led by reiki practitioner and Touch of Sakura owner Sheryl Sadler-Twyon.
Registration for this event is required by calling 1-888-324-3191 or visiting the Turners Falls branch in person.
TURNERS FALLS — Composer and musician Kenny Butler will perform a collection of traditional Irish jigs, along with a showing of the 2015 animated film “Song of the Sea,” on Friday, June 21, starting at 7:15 p.m. at Peskeomskut Park.
The performance by Butler will include traditional and improvised Irish jigs, reels and airs on the fiddle.
The film, “Song of the Sea,” tells the journey of a 10-year-old boy named Ben who must help his mute sister Saoirse find her voice to free the fairies and save the spirit world. The film and concert are free and family-friendly.
TURNERS FALLS — The Knights of Columbus Council 737 will host a to-go Polish meals fundraiser with Our Lady of Czestochowa Church on Saturday, June 22.
Each to-go box will include Polish kielbasa, crab rangoon pierogi, haluski, beet salad and carrots. Meals are available to pre-order until June 18.

One meal is $15 and three meals are $40. The meals will be available for pickup at 84 K St. at the church undercroft between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 22. Meals will not be available to be picked up at a later date or time.
Pre-orders can be made by calling the church rectory at 413-863-4748 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and leaving a full name, phone number and the number of meal tickets being reserved.
TURNERS FALLS — The burlesque troupe Burning Roses Burlesque will perform at The Rendezvous at 78 Third St. on Friday, June 29, at 9 p.m.
The egalitarian, neo-burlesque troupe based in southern Vermont invites the community to celebrate the end of Pride Month with a queer circus arts burlesque show inspired by western and space styling. There will be original performances from troupe members The Stellar Cedar, Them Brûlée, Viscera Nefarious, Jack Rose, Asster Rico, Jaime V and Moxxie Hart. The troupe takes a comedic, edgy, LGTBQ circus-inspired edge to their performances.
Tickets range from $15 to $25 and are available online via Eventbrite at “Burning Roses Burlesque: See You Later Space Cowboy” and through the event posting on Facebook.
TURNERS FALLS — For the first time, the Turners Falls Athletic Club has awarded a total of $10,000 to five students as part of its scholarship program that began in 1954. More than 200 students have received scholarships since the program’s inception, recognizing their academic and athletic contributions to Turners Falls High School.
This year’s recipients are Joey Mosca, Anne Kolodziej, Ella Kolodziej, Taylor Greene and Owen LaValley. Each student will receive $2,000 for their second semester at the college of their choice.
