Let’s not forget the meaning of Memorial Day, a day celebrated for those who had to pay with their lives and now lie in foreign lands and here at home.

Please teach our young children what Memorial Day really means, it is remembered each year for the sacrifices made by  service men and women for the freedoms we have today and what this day’s meaning is for.

Thanks to those that gave some, but our all to those that gave all. To our veterans, I have this to say, please march or ride on this day, then pause a while and stand tall to honor and to remember them while at the mall.

To all, Memorial Day is a day set aside for our fallen. Please honor them and attend the ceremonies in your town or city.

Tom Travis
