A few days ago the Recorder published a letter by a man from West Virginia. He thought that former president Donald Trump showed character by putting a hat back on a soldier [“A sign of character,” May 16].

What I am upset about is that the newspapers would have to go so far away as West Virginia to get an opinion, we don’t need that opinion up here. We can go right around the corner anytime we want, so let’s get opinions from our neighbors.
