New England West Skating Club competed in the 2024 State Games of America in San Diego last month, competing against some of the best figure skaters across the country.

New England Skating Club’s Lillis Qui and Candy Tang earned silver medals while Kaylin Magee and Anjolina Elias earned both silver and bronze medals. Associate club member Lucy Morris-Ravven won gold while Camilla Cavaleri took home silver.

“The skaters enjoyed much earned time away from the ice at the close of competition visiting San Diego highlights,” New England Skating Club director Suzanne McCaughtry said. “The trip was an overwhelming success and these skaters regardless of placement have earned our respect and admiration for putting themselves in the spotlight of a National competition. NEWSC and their coaches are sincerely proud of all of them. We are looking forward already to 2026 State Games of America in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania.”
