Tina M. Morin, 47, of Connor Court, Winchester, N.H. Charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, by Northfield Police. Court cost of $50 was dismissed. Found not responsible on a charge of no inspection sticker. Charge of uninsured motor vehicle was dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth.

Andrew P. Avalone, 27, of Highland Terrace, Middletown, Conn. Charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, in Deerfield by State Police from the Shelburne barracks. Court cost of $50 was dismissed. Found not responsible on a charge of number plate violation.

Eric B. Coates, 32, Central Street, Turners Falls. Charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, by Montague Police, was dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth.

Laura M. Ryan, 33, Brook Road, Shelburne Falls. Charge of assault and battery, by Shelburne Police. Admission to sufficient facts accepted and sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until Oct. 9, 2020. Victim witness assessment was waived. Must not use drugs or alcohol, with screenings, and must complete pact program and aftercare. The counsel fee and probation supervision fee were waived.

Judge David Ross Orange, Oct. 11

William F. Ferris, 38, of East River Street, Orange. Charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and the operator improperly using a mobile phone while driving. Sufficient facts found for Count 1, but continued without a finding until Oct. 9, 2020, with special conditions to complete a drug and alcohol education program and after care, 45-day loss of license and no driving until the Registry of Motor Vehicle restores his license. Count 2 was dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for Count 3.

David A. Terry-Simon, 38, of South Main Street, Orange. Charged with assault and battery. Arraigned and held. Released on personal recognizance with special conditions to stay away from and have no contact with the victim. Pretrial conference set for Dec. 20.

Mark A. Squires, 52, of 3rd Street, Turners Falls. Charges of possession of Class A drug, and possession Class B drug, with personal recognizance, with there must be no drugs, but screens, potential of bail revocation, with pretrial conference to set the date of Dec. 5, with the next hearing.

Must not use drugs, with screenings. Pretrial conference set for Dec. 5. The counsel fee was waived.

Must complete the Brains At Risk program and safe driver’s program Charge of leaving the scene of property damage was dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth. The counsel fee of $150 must be paid. The probation supervision fee of $50 must be paid monthly, if needed.

Must complete intake at the Center for Human Development, and treatment as directed, and must not have alcohol. Pretrial conference set for Nov. 6. The counsel fee was waived.

Joshua W. Gleason, 38, of East Main Street, Orange. Charged with violating an abuse prevention order. Defendant was placed on probation until April 13, 2021, with special conditions to serve one year at the house of correction and complete drug court.

Charge of trespass, by Northfield Police, with defendant placed on pretrial probation until 10/15/20, with defendant agrees to remove the fence issue on date agreed to by Arthur Patonde (ok) and must have no contact with Patonde. The counsel fee was waived.

Allen Smith, 35, listed as homeless, Greenfield. Charge of resist arrest, by Greenfield Police, with bail set at $100, with potential of bail revocation, with pretrial conference with Dec. 14, for date of further hearing. The counsel fee was waived.

Jonathan S. Long, 38, of Cheyenne Road, Springfield. Charges of assault and battery on family with household member, and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, by Greenfield Police, but that was first heard 2/12/19, and set for bail of $250, cash, with $2,500 of surety, but now comes the Northwest District Attorney officials office, Oct. 16, with the nolle prosiqui on the Commonwealth through its Assistant District Attorney Joseph Webber, and enters a Nolle Prosequi on the referenced case. As a basis for this Nolle Prosequi, the Commonwealth states the named victim in this matter has moved to Florida, and will be unavailable to testify going forward. Without her testimony, the Commonwealth cannot sustain its burden going forward. The counsel fee was waived.
